Stainless-steel vessels used nowadays for storage, processing and handling of sterile liquids are heavy and complex, thus requiring high design and investment costs.

© Solution

Rütten stainless-steel sterile and mobile vessels, standard construction with capacities of 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 150 and 200 l. Capacities and types for individual needs are available upon request. Stability testing vessels are also available in 500 ml and 1,000 ml sizes.

Lightweight convenience: The Rütten engineering design gives pressure certification with a light weight vessels, improves ease of handling, mobility, and reduces initial costs. These durable and reusable vessels have the minimum cost-per-use.

Container integrity/GMP compliance: The Rütten vessel system with steam-sterilisable connections is the only storage and transfer system capable of meeting the level of sterility assurance and all other regulatory (integrity and cleaning) required by Worldwide Good Manufacturing Practice and the FDA guidelines.

Steam sterilization: Validatable for steam sterilization of vessels, contents and for steam-sterilized transfers. In-situ sterilization with jacketed vessels (see picture)

Container cleanability: Compliance with cGMP and ease of cleaning in standard washing machines. Easily inspected components for cleaning monitoring, high cleanability resulting from electro polish and low surface roughness (Ra: 0.25 µm = 10 µinch).

Ease of handling and product transfer: protective rim top and bottom, standard connections standardized diameters and transport configurations, interchangeable components and mixers (magnetic and vibrating agitator systems). Full range of accessories. Mobile with corresponding trolleys.

Economical: Designed for very low dead volumes (50 ml), high durability, reusable long vessel
and component lifetimes. Availability ex-stock of standard vessels and accessories.

© Main characteristics

Material: DIN 1.4435 (316L) for all process-side surfaces. DIN 1.4301 (304) for all non-process surfaces. Seals made of silicone or EPDM according to FDA guidelines.

Surface finish: For all process-side surfaces: less than 0.25 µm (electro polished). For all other surfaces: less than 0.8  µm (electro polished).

Operating conditions: Full vacuum to 4 bar overpressure; temperature -35°C...+150°C.

Pressure code: European Pressure Vessel Directive (PED), Module G. German TÜV approval, ASME code upon request.

Documents delivered for plant qualification: German TÜV pressure test certificates, certificates of all materials, drawings, quality tests for accessories, roughness test for process-side surfaces, user manual. Rütten sterile vessels are being used for FDA-approved products.

© Special execution

Double jacketed versions available for in situ sterilization.

The vessels as listed are standard Rütten products and accept standard Rütten accessories. However, the SSS concept can be used and extended for meeting other, individual requirements upon request.

We also manufacture small vessels in 55 ml, 100 ml, 0,5 l and 1.0 l vessels (on request).
